There are many cannabis consultants that are out there that can assist you with your Health Canada production licence or cannabis retail application.

Here are some of the best questions that someone can ask their prospective cannabis consultant.

Depending on the class of licence you apply for, a Health Canada licence may authorize you to:

• Cultivate cannabis, including harvesting, curing, and drying
• Process cannabis into consumer products, such as edibles, beverages, topicals, tinctures, extracts / concentrates
• Sell cannabis products to provincially-authorized cannabis retailers (Recreational Cannabis)
• Sell cannabis directly to clients with authorization from their medical doctor (Medical Cannabis)

Note that if you want to sell cannabis from a storefront, you must apply for a licence issued by your province. In the case of Ontario, you would need to apply for a Retail Operator Licence and a Retail Store Authorization from the AGCO.

You should hire someone who has the requisite experience to jump through all of the hoops that Health Canada or the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario places in your way.

Here are some questions you should ask your prospective cannabis consultant.

Have the cannabis consultants successfully obtained licences for their clients?
